Browsing through JACAC's gallery is akin to taking a virtual vacation. A master of capturing real moments through his travels, his images relay stories of interesting people in incredible places -- and we get a first class ticket to live vicariously through them! Beyond this, the deviant behind the lens is an exemplary member of our community, always encouraging and supporting others and acting as a beacon of positivity. It is for these reasons that we are delighted to be awarding Deviousness for February 2019 to JACAC.

There are watchers and there are friends

In all the years that I've been part of this DA family (17 years), I've been lucky enough to meet people who have become friends over the years, some just through exchanging messages here, others because I've met them in real life on my travels. In both cases the experience is amazing but actually meeting someone in person after becoming "virtual" friends is absolutely overwhelming. But the experience of virtual friendship, whether through messages, likes or looking at photographs, is also very interesting and enriching. Here is a small tribute to all my friends, forgive me if I lost anyone along the way to this journal. You are amazing . Happy Christmas and happy 2024
