Enki Bilal 2

I found this peice to be quite visually stunning, more of my favorite peices of your work. Firstly, with some of your work the model does not seem engaged in the shot, whereas in this frame I feel as if she is actually watching. While I quite like a few of your nudes, I feel as if this particular model's simple dress made the work more effective. Now, the other Enki Bilal peices also had the literal straight out of a graphic novel feel, but this best captures the intensity and the strength.
Why? Simply because it's backdrop is so pale and pastel, like the pages of a book. You did a great job in editing the parts of her top and her hair that are ment to be 'drawn', pulling the model into the comic in a more realistic and eye-catching way. My personal favorite part of this peice is the contrast of the pale with the dark liner and flame colored hair. I, as a reader of graphic novels, can see her as a character. But the reds and blacks are so vivid that it really gives a sensation of coming to life.
Furthermore, her expression is both seemingly submissive and innocent, but her eye say come hither. I like that it's not a forced sexy, but a sexy simply so sexy that it simply is, infact, sexy. It's a look that says "What are you waiting for?" Tieing that back in with my previous statement, it's almost like instead of her climbing into reality from the pages of a book, but her daring you to come inside.
